Kristin Maland believes that creativity is a way of life. With a background in fine arts, a passion for woodworking, and an eye for photography, she has built a studio practice that bridges the worlds of art, design, and visual storytelling.
Kristin has always been a bit of an alchemist, turning simple planks of wood into sculptural tables, blank canvases into textured dreamscapes, and fleeting moments into timeless photographs. Raised with paint on her fingers and a fascination for the way sunlight dances across old wood, she grew up believing that art wasn’t confined to galleries it lived in kitchens, gardens, and well-loved furniture. Somewhere along the way, a camera found its way into her hands, and with it, a new way to frame the world’s quiet poetry. Today, Kristin blends her crafts with a sense of wonder, weaving stories into every brushstroke, woodgrain, and captured image, as if each piece were whispering, “this is where magic lives.”
